NYEF is committed to mental health and the well being of our students, school staff, and families. We are the fiscal sponsor of the Park County Rural Schools 360 program which provides behavioral and mental health resources, assistance, programming, and accessibility to students, staff and families in our Park County rural schools.
More often than not, children in rural communities do not have access to the tools they need to thrive. NYEF, in partnership with our fiscal sponsor Park County Rural Schools 360 (PCRS 360), has hired a full-time behavior analyst working across five rural school districts, implemented yoga in schools, and launched numerous other support efforts.

Additional Mental Health Programs
at Gardiner School
Gardiner school is currently working with the JED Foundation to develop a program specific to our High School/Jr. High. JED strengthens schools by working
directly with high schools, colleges, and universities — representing millions of students — to put systems, programs, and policies in place to create a culture of caring that protects student mental health, builds life skills, and makes it more likely that struggling students will seek help and be recognized, connected to care, and supported. NYEF is proud to assist with financial support of this program.
Gardiner Elementary began a new program in 2021 called Character Strong. NYEF is proud to support the teacher resource library for this program through a Connect! Grant.
