As the year comes to a close, we want to thank you for supporting the North Yellowstone Education Foundation (NYEF) and Gardiner Public Schools (GPS). Because of supporters like you, 2025 has been a year of meaningful progress for our students, teachers, and community.

This year, in collaboration with GPS, we proudly completed the fencing project around the school track and field. This long-needed improvement now protects the grounds from wildlife and prevents ongoing degradation. With this protection in place, GPS students and our local community finally have a safe space for outdoor exercise, athletics, and outdoor learning. Thanks to grants and the generosity of our donors, the project was made a reality, and its impact continues to be felt daily.

Now that the field is protected, we are turning our attention to two more projects. First, we need to replace the old bleachers in our gym. The bleachers are outdated, and we can no longer obtain parts to repair them. To ensure that our students and community have the facilities they deserve and to keep spectators safe, it is essential to replace the bleachers as soon as possible.

 

NYEF and GPS are working together to secure new bleachers that will serve the community for years to come. The estimated total project cost is $172,325. Safe seating may seem simple, but it is transformational. New bleachers will allow families to cheer on their children without worry. They will give GPS athletes, performers, and students a place to gather, celebrate, and build community pride. They will also support a renewed sense of school spirit for community events that bring Gardiner together.

 

Second, NYEF and GPS are committed to improving the track and field. Replacing the track is an estimated $300,000 project. Our goal is to widen the track and improve the surface so we can host track meets in Gardiner with the Roosevelt Arch as the backdrop. This project would be both incredible for our athletes and for our town. As you consider your year-end giving, we invite you to make a tax-deductible gift to support these projects.
