NYEF seeks to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of our community through our partnership with Rural Resilience.

Rural Resilience connects rural communities to behavioral and mental health solutions while protecting social well-being and fostering resilience to thrive.  We are a grant-funded program by the Arthur M. Blank Foundation, North Yellowstone Education Foundation, and many more.

Rural Resilience is working to expand their program to include a Social Worker to aid in supporting rural families in Park County for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are pleased to announce that Rural Resilience has hired a Mental Health Therapist, who will be starting in January at Gardiner School.

Hi, I’m Laramie, a mental health therapist joining Rural Resilience. I’m passionate about supporting the emotional well-being of students and their families. I work to create a calm, welcoming space where young people can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach focuses on helping students navigate stress, friendships, identity, and life transitions while building confidence and healthy coping skills. I’m grateful to be part of this community and look forward to working closely with staff, parents, and caregivers to support student growth and wellness.

at Gardiner School

Gardiner School began a new program in 2021 called Character Strong, whose name was adopted Bruin Strong. NYEF continues to sponsor this program through our Connect! Grants. In the past few years, we have added social-emotional books to the school library and sent teachers to the Character Strong nationwide conference.
